Funders and Partners
Building partnerships with community organizations, NGOs, and government and public institutions enhances the success of ACDI/VOCA's work in Bolivia.
Partnering with and empowering local communities to initiate and implement change is the principal tenet of the Yungas Community Alternative Development Fund (YCADF) , funded by USAID and implemented by ACDI/VOCA Bolivia from 2001 until mid 2006. Under the YCADF, local communities identify their funding priorities and submit grant proposals to the Goverment of Bolivia. Once approved by them, USAID/Bolivia, and ACDI/VOCA, projects are incorporated into YCADF funding.
The same process works for the current Integrated Alternative Development Fund (ICDF) that started in 2005 and will last until 2010.
