ACDI/VOCA’s Internship Program
ACDI/VOCA provides internship opportunities to those that wish to volunteer, but do not have the necessary experience to join the Volunteer Program. These internships are offered at ACDI/VOCA’s head office in La Paz, as well as in the field offices in Bolivia.
The internships are flexible in terms of both timing and scope of work, but will be tailored to meet the currently most pressing needs of the organization and will be agreed with accepted interns before the internship begins. As a result, possible roles for interns are varied and often interns are asked to assist in many different areas. For example, previous interns have assisted with producing informational documents for donors, proposal writing, report writing, database design, data entry, and document translation.
Being an intern at ACDI/VOCA will allow you to play a role in important development work in Bolivia and provide you with valuable experience in international development, with a prestigious and respected international organization.
ACDI/VOCA will provide all interns with a detailed information pack to introduce them to living and working in Bolivia. They will also assist interns wherever possible with accommodation and will cover all work-related expenses, including local travel costs. The internship program does not provide a salary, but in exceptional circumstances, an intern may be invited to extend their internship and be offered a stipend to assist with living costs.
We encourage applications throughout the year from those with a strong interest in working in international development and with a minimum qualification of a university degree. Preference is given to candidates who are able to speak at least conversational Spanish.
