Dairy Products Factory

In the community of Bella Vista, in the province of Caranavi, the construction of a small, fully-functioning dairy products factory enabled residents to produce several varieties of dairy products and yogurt for sale in the local market. The project provided the necessary infrastructure, equipment, and initial supplies to make the plant operational. The factory, owned and operated by the local association of dairy producers (APROLAB), benefits members and their families directly. Under the YCADF, dairy producers also received technical assistance and training in the areas of cheese and yogurt production, institutional strengthening, and marketing.
APROLAB received the complementary technical assistance from Dr. Daniel Miller, veterinarian specialized in major animal's health, and in detection, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of dairy cattle.
